Hello everyone!
My name is Alexandra Joukanen, but you can call me Alex! I am 23 years old, and I study at the school of Business and Economics at Åbo Akademi University. I am majoring in Organisation and Management, and my minor is economics.
I wanted to participate in this course because I enjoy working in an international environment and I thought that it would be interesting to share thoughts with students from different study programmes. Sustainability is an important topic for me and I do not think that it can be talked about enough. I look forward to meeting you all and I want to learn more about you! :)
Three things that I honestly love about Finland:
1. Safety: I hardly have to feel unsafe in Finland and Finnish people are very honest.
2. Equality: Finland has a good social security system and we recognize that not everyone starts from the same place. Finland tries to offer economic security and assistance for those in need. We have free education and lunch is free at comprehensive school.
3. Nature: Nature in Finland is beautiful and we have a lot of forests and lakes that can be enjoyed by anyone. Our Everyman's Right allows us to pick berries or mushrooms almost anywhere.
Fun facts about myself: I like to sing and play soccer :)
